The largest gathering of the Welsh, descendants, and friends in North America. Reflecting the many aspects of Welsh culture, past and present, the festival is held in a different location each year.
The tradition began in 1929 when over 4,000 people gathered at Niagara Falls for the first National Gymanfa Ganu. While the gymanfa and Welsh singing tradition remain at the heart of the weekend, in 2002 the National Gymanfa Ganu became the North American Festival of Wales.
This year's festival will be in Alexandria, VA.
