The club room at The Liberty NYC has been home to New York Welsh since 2018 when Haverfordwest-born Glenn and Owen Treacher first welcomed the community into their Midtown establishment. Downstairs, the walls of the club room are adorned with odes to Wales providing us with a unique home away from home.
Once a month, New York Welsh holds meet-ups that are open to anyone with Welsh roots or simply an interest in Welsh or Celtic culture. We come together for annual events such as the Six Nations, St. David’s Day, and Dylan Thomas Day. In the past, we have also collaborated on specialized events with organizations like BAFTA Cymru, Rough Trade Records, the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, and the Welsh Government.
